I was just wondering how many automatics out there are turbo/supercharged and what kind of boost and horsepower its being made
Try a members seach or on the boost forums. Prob the fastest way before everyone says "this belongs in the boosted forum"
There's a really long thread in the BOOST forum called "The Boosted J-Body List"... it shouldn't be hard to find, it has like a billion pages.

There are like 220 J-bodies on that list... I don't know how many of them are automatics.
Luke (dragracemyz24) has been having alot of trouble with his Z. He's been through like 3 trannies in a month. Sucks. But if you think about it, on an auto you're just mashing the gas. So when the transmission shifts, your turbo is still spooled and it *slams* into the next gear. I dunno how well they hold. I'm sure there are many successful setups on autos. Just no experience.
ive heard autos stand up to boost better then manuals. i have an auto and am planning a SC setup by next year.

I am auto, GM supercharged hitting 7-8psi, haven't been to the track or dyno yet, but hopefully soon I will be able to.
the 4 speed is faster but the 3 speed is built to last
the 4spd can take just as much of a beating with an AutoTrans and the right fluid
