i have a 99 sunfire 5 spd 2200 with 210k kms on the tranny. and i have an old 2.2l beater that has a blown motor but the transmission has been rebuilt in it by the previous owner and has only 40k on it. i was wondering if these transmissions are the same and if id be able to take it out of the beater and put it into mine.

Depends on what year 2.2 it is. The bolt pattern is the same, but the tranny may be different.
