Hey guys, are the 5 speed manual trannys the same for the 2.2 and the 2.4 (1996 era)? I need a tranny for my z24, but all I find are 2.2 tranny's online....

Is the bell housing the only difference? I would like to do this swap as cheaply as possible, not for performance gains....Can I re-use my bellhousing, and install that onto a 2.2 transmission?

You need to split the whole trans case and swap the gears from one to the other (i am assuming that is the problem rather than th case itself) I actually have one for sale for a 2.4 as well but am from ontario, canada
