Hi,
just want to know if any of you had issues with the OEM slave cylinder with a stage 3 and more clutch ?
I know that the stock slave cylinder is made basically with plastic cover.
With the addition of torque with double diaphragm clutch, does the OEM cylinder is strong enough?
I have a 2004 219whp cavalier and my actual 450 lb-ft torque ceramic clutch didn't have enough pressure to hold the power.
I will now install a double diaphragm clutch that will put +- 750 lb-ft torque pressure on the disk.
Will the stock slave cylinder last ???
Thanks!
What clutches were you using, what clutch are going to use now?

I was using a custom 4 puck ceramic clutch kit, 450 lb-ft torque. It was slipping because of lack of pressure.
Now I will be using a similar kit but with double diaphragm for more pressure, 750 lb-ft torque
my oe clutch took my Z24 to 120K.... out lasted the trans...
are we sure its the clutches fault?

When I added the Intercooled Supercharger setup with tuning (219whp) my car add 90K. The OEM clutch died 5K later.
Then I installed the custom ceramic clutch kit and it died 5k later ...
The mecanics were thinking that it died because I maked it slip but after testing the pressure on it they told me that there wasn't enough to hold the power correctly with that kit and they are now installing a new one with double diaphragm and they are absorbing all the costs.
I am not new to standard trans, I drive standard since 12 years now... but yes I am new to ceramic clutch setups and I know that it cannot be use like the oem ones...
I didn't post for others to judge my driving skills, I am only asking if other members using high level pressure plates had experienced issues with the slave cylinder since it's made basically of plastic and if there is replacement part for it.
Thanks.
.. the stock clutch can take 219 WHP.
like i said, it lasted in mine till 120K...... that said, read my reg. my car was not stock.
the OE slave can take...... any clutch you get, what do you think the slave in the clutch kit is diffrent?

... it sure can... but for how long...
