My g/f has a 2000 Cavalier base model with no options at all. The car has recently started to act like it isn't shifting correctly and the rpms seem to be way to high for the speed. At between 50-60 mph it starts a very noticeable jerk or shake it goes away when u speed up but once u are up to say 70mph its starts doing the same thing. If you are under 50mph the car doesn't shake but it does have very high RPMs. Has anyone else experienced any problems like this?
thanx
when im going about 70 mph, my rpms spring up for a very short time and then back down. the continue to do this unless i accelerate or decrease speed.... still trying to find out what the heck is causing this...
btw i have 99 2200 3spd AT only power option is the sunroof
listening in...

back and forward? side to side? on corner or from all around? could be an alignment, out of balance tire, wheel bearing, etc...

this sounds like an issue with the tcc solenoid.
