Performance Torque converter???

Anyone know where I can get a high-stall/high performance converter for a cavi 3spd???? Yank doesn't do them anymore. Which is probably just as well, because I'd like to stay well under $500 if possible.

Does anyone around here know of anyone who builds converters for these cars? Anybody have one they want to get rid of?

Should I just look for a used converter out of another car?

I would like around 3000 stall, and a little bigger torque ratio if possible.

I'm planning on an eventual 300-400 possible turbo horses, which shouldn't require a solid billet converter or anything crazy like that. Although the motor is currently bone stock with a true CAI and premium fuel spark tune.

The reason I'm even looking at a high stall converter, is I'm having the trans taken out anyway due to a burned band, and I figure I might as well get all my mods done at one time.

I do not think your going to get one for under $500 unless it is used.

There are a lot of companies that build units for the 3 speed auto cars. There was at least one used being sold on quad4 forums not to long ago. I also posted a TON of info on this. Madjack also posted a ton on other higher stall factory converters that will fit.
