Built 3spd auto Vs. 5 spd swap.

Hey Hi all, so I currently have a spare 125 three speed sitting in pieces at the transmission shop. I am looking at getting an engineered performance lsd for it, along with a complete rebuild, borg warner or raybestos clutches, high energy band, 1:1 chain drive, and 3:33 diff with the lsd. In total, i will have about $2000 in this lump. My question Is, should I cut my losses at this point, and save the 500+ dollars on the lsd and just plan on doing a five speed swap when I do the turbo build im planning? What will hold more power??

I would say do the 5 speed swap.

I built my auto 4 speed and held up well for a couple of years under low boost. But as soon as I turned up the boost on the dyno 3rd gear blew out. I stood by my auto against everyone's recommendation to just do a 5 speed swap. I finally took their advise after the fact and did the swap.

That doesnt mean your built auto will not hold up, just means you will be limiting your power because the 5 speed will hold more power than the auto.
