Polishing or painting factory wheels?

Hi all,

Has anyone on here ever polished or painted the factory wheels? I'm thinking of doing something similar to this because I want a bit of a change from my current factory setup, but I can't afford to get all new wheels and rubber with my up coming wedding and future house.

I would like to know if it's possible to polish them yourself or if anyone knows of company's that will do it for you. Obviously if I do have them painted it won't be by myself but through a paint shop. For a colour scheme I would go with black for the wheels and then do the centre caps in red to match the rest of my car.

Any advice???
