18x8.5 w/35 offset...issues?
Saturday, March 26, 2005 3:52 PM
I'm looking at a set of 18x8.5 wheels with a 35 offset. If I run a 225/40/18, will I have any issues with fender clearance when I install an air ride setup? Should I just look for a 7 inch wide wheel with a 40 offset and 215 tire instead? Thanks for any help.

if your planning on dropping it, a 215/35 would be a better fit.

Thanks for the info guys. I found a set of 17x7.5 Kaotik Z5 rims that I like. I can run a 215/45/17 and be pretty close to stock on my speedo. They have a 39 offset, so they should work. I will be getting an air ride system for my car soon. I like the way ESB's car looks with the 17's, plus there's more rubber between the road and the rim. Thanks again for everyones input.
