Hey guys just checking in to see if anyone had a source for some skinnies on a 89 sunbird turbo....I am not sure of the bolt pattern or what size to run....Any information would be great.....Also what is the widest slick that can fit up front in an 89 bird....Thanks

hey man, your best bet is to check out www.v6z24.com there arent too many 2nd gen owners that post regularly on the jbo.

as for your question, the bolt pattern on your bird would be 5x100.

from experience i know the widest tire you can run on the street on a sunbird would be a 225 wide. this width will still allow you to turn without any rubbing issues.

if you're building a strip car, then the offset of the wheel is going to determine how wide of a front tire you can go. if you can get a wheel with a crazy offset that makes the wheel stick out from the car, then i'd imagine you could run a pretty damn wide slick on there.

but on a stock rim for road use 225 is as wide as you would want to go
