i just got a set for free... was wondering if it would fit on a 14'' steelie..

You answered your own question. Of course they can fit. I just threw 225/50/14 G-Force drag radials on my winter steelies.

Isn't that what I answered? I have narrow 14" steel rims with 225 rubber on them.
