is there a huge one? anyone got some good pics, on wheel max they look pretty much the same
There's a decently good difference in all of those rims. Hyperblack are more silver colored and have a dark tint to them. Say the light hits them a certain way~ they're silver... if it hits them a diff way~ they look like a light gunmetal. The wheels I have on my car right now are hyperblack. Here's a picture w/ light hitting them:

With gunmetal, you always have a dark colored rim not matter how the light hits them.
In all honesty... I LOVE my hyperblack wheels. I wish they would have been just a little bit darker though.

personally i like the hyperblack, and i know thats all that matters i just want some oppinions
and berto u had exel hyper black wheels, were they any darker? or lighter? ( i want darker)
hyperblack is lighter and shinier than gunmetal. gunmetal looks darker and dull compared to hyperblack. i personally like hyperblack more. also, please, please dont get a 7 spoke wheel. (unless its a deep dish and DOESN'T look like an mr7)

^ Why not? If that's what he likes, then he can get it. Mine are 7 spoke and not deep dish.
As for what rims to get, it's honestly all your choice. Find something you like & don't worry about how other people feel about it. Everyone is going to have a different opinion. If u want a darker colored rim, go with gunmetal. If u want a lighter more shiney rim, go with hyperblack. I don't know what your taste in rims is... almost everyone's is different. But I will recommend some I can think of right off, to give u some ideas:
-Motegi DP6s in gunmetal......
Konig Trouble w/ graphite finish.....
Ro_Ja Formula 7 in gunmetal ...........
5Zigen 5ZR hyperblack (my fav) ..........
5Zigen RS-6 in hyperblack (eventhough they're similar to MR7s in appearence- can't have that) .........
Axis TC Evos in gunmetal....
Konig appeal in gunmetal......
Konig incident in gunmetal...
That's all I can think of right off the top of my head. If u look at those though, they should give u a pretty good idea. Good luck with your decision!

I got my 17's from wheelmax last week in gunmetal. And they were 7 spoke (not mr7 looking either, viper!) Just thought I would warn you dirty elf, I looked over wheelmax extensively and I liked the exel wheels too, but most (if not all) 17" exel's had 35 offsets, which I hear isn't right for J's.

if that wasn't sarcastic, then that comment is purely opinion. because i will personally say that the first time i saw the mr7's (about 5 years ago) they looked BLAND and PLAIN as hell to me. they still do, and they still suck.

everyone has their own opinion....... i wouldnt say that the design is plain though.......not when the 5 spoke is one of the oldest designs out (the other being the 3 spoke)

dirty elf: thanks for this thread. I'm in the same boat: can't decide between the two. I'm leaning towards hyperblack though. My window tint goes through the same range of colors from dark black to silver. I think they would compliment eachother.
