Motegi SP10 - cheap lightweight

I was poking around tirerack and found this: Motegi Racing SP10

17" wheel weighing only 17 lbs. That's not ultra-lightweight, but for the price (135/piece for hyperblack, 125/piece for black painted) its not too bad.

What do you guys think of this wheel? I wish they offered it in a dark bronze for my silver 2004, but hyperblack would do.

Sorry for the double-post, but this wheel is only 3lbs heavier than the same size Traklite wheel that costs about double
Most other 17 inch wheels weigh 20-25+ lbs and i think even our factory 16" wheel options are in the 20 lbs range.

I've always avoided aftermarket oversize wheels because of the performance loss or high price of lightweight wheels, but this changes things a little

not bad but i doubt they are forged. especially since they are only $135 a piece. common, normal forged rims usually go for around $250 a piece.

the traklite 1.0's you referred to that are 13 pounds are in-fact NOT the same size as those. the 1.0's weighing 13 pounds are 17X8, not 7".

my velox rims are nearly identical to the traklite 1.0's only mine are 17X7's and weigh 12.5 pounds a piece.

i do like the rims however, i think they look too much like the played out MR7.

180hp in 1989 or 145hp in 2002, you decide. >
