Summer's here... Time for new tires!
Tuesday, June 29, 2010 11:51 PM
So now summer's here and I just graduated so I have an excuse to finally get some real summer tires.
I'm pretty sick of these offbrand all-seasons!

I'd like to keep to around $100 per tire and can go max ~$125 each.
So far a few tires have caught my eye and I was hoping the JBO could gimme opinions and suggestions.

1. Hankook Ventus V12 Evo
$102

2. Falken FK 452
$112

3. BF Goodrich g-Force Sport
$115

And if it matters, I'm looking for 225/45/17 or 215/45/17.

Thanks in advance guys.

BFG FTMFW. I've always been very impressed with the smoothness and quietness of the BFG high performance tires.

I have had both BFG and Falkens. I vote BFG. I had a set of falken ze512's on and got 10,000 miles out of those. Put on a set of BFG Traction TA's after those and got 45,000 miles out of those and had just as much grip as the Falkens did. The only experience I have had with Hankook tires are on class 8 tractor trailers on the steer axles and have had decent luck with those but that really does not apply here. lol

i'll be going with the k12 evo's when it comes time to buy tires. i've heard alot of good things about them.

kumho ecsta xs are another tire i've heard alot of good things about. they are fairly inexpensive too.

I think bigfoot is blurry,
that's the problem. It's not the photographer's fault. Bigfoot is blurry. And that's extra
scary to me. There's a large, out-of-focus monster, roaming the countryside.
"Run! He's fuzzy!" "Get outta here!"
