245/45/18 fit?
Tuesday, August 31, 2010 9:45 PM
So i have read through a couple of pages and can't find a for sure answer or if anyone is running this size tire. I am looking at getting a set of 18" rims, with what i believe to be 8.5 depth, i don't know the offset as of now.

No they will NOT fit.
the correct size is 225 40 18 and 8.5 mm is pushing it as is!

Depends on the setup. Strat81 has a set of 245/40R17s on his fn01rc's(17x8, 35mm offset) and they clear. But he is on Tein SS's and has a Baer big brake kit. Im even thinking about running 245/40R18s once i upgrade my brakes and wheel studs.

Epicness is coming. Are you ready?

yeah, looking at the difference between those sizes, even running 40's would be an inch smaller diameter, just thought i would ask real quick, the only reason i ask is i found some toyo proxies for a really good deal, but just to big

245/35-18 will fit, not much of a difference in tire diameter - stock 205/55-16 is 24.9" diameter and 245/35-18 are 24.8" diameter, courtesy of a tire size calculator, just my .02

what suspension are you running? with the baer's and teins, i'm BARELY clearing the 245's on the spring perch and you will need to roll/flare the fenders.

245/45/18's are not gonna happen.

245/35/18's perhaps but the 8.5" wide wheel will potentially be a problem and you'll have to do some playing with offset and possibly spacers to fit them.
