I am looking for some light rims, and from my understanding the `16 ls with tires are 40 pounds each. I have never seen a cavy with motegi sp10 so idk how it will look and how it will handle compare to 16.

Those would be 8 inches wide based on the offset and back spacing. What diameter, if 17's I could dig it. if its 15's these would make great race wheels for someone looking to but 245 ish hoosiers on them.

Leafy, they diameter will be 15's, remember I still have to add $150 on top of my ls rims. I will be fixing upgrading my car soon (right now is bone stock). I am looking for a lighter wheel but at the same time quality and I think motegi is pretty descent brand, any thoughts? What will be some nice tires for a 15's leafy? 245?

I wish they made 245 wide street tires for 15's. Those are about the lightest you'll find wheels in that size. Only way to go lighter would be to go narrower.

I am not going crazy with mods for my car, though I am planning on making it fast to 160whp/wtq. I already removed 140 pounds to make it lighter, better acce, and better stoping. I think these wheels will help some by reducing weight, better launch, better gas, and better stopping. So Leafy, you think my ls+$150 is worth the trade for some new Motegi SP10 15"?

OH you're trading stockers and 150 bucks for those wheels. I thought you were trading those wheels and 150 bucks for stockers.

Oh no, the guy wants my stock ls sport 16's. He will give me some new 15's Motegi SP10 brand new if I add $150 on top of my stock wheels. You think is worth it?

then you got to buy tires. and 15s are becoming hard to find used so most likely you will have to buy new... thats another thing to think about. personally i wouldnt do it.

But the motegi's are so light. He'd be hard pressed to find 17's that are that light. BUT there are only 2 tires that are the right size for this car, the yoko es100 and the BFG g-force sport. because the right size on that wheel would be a 245-50R15 which dont exist in anything but slicks, but the closest street tire would be a 205-60R15 and thats only available in all seasons, which as we all know, are garbage, or the two tires I listed above. I'd skip this deal unless you wanted to mount slicks on them.
