Will 17x8s fit??
Friday, February 18, 2005 12:22 AM
I was wondering if 17x8's +46offset with a 225/45r17 tire will fit without rubbing on a 97 cavalier, lowerd of sprint springs.

Thanks,

Chris

your might hit the struts on the inside, and you will definitely have major rubbing issues in the front when turning. id say pick a different wheel.

The most important part of this question is the offset. What offset do you have?

+46 is fairly high but if you end up with issues because of it, you can fix it with some new lugs and some spacers.

I'm running the same setup 17x8's with 225/45/17's no rubbing issuses unless the wheel is turned all the way at very slow speeds, which is bad for the car anyways, so you just avoid it.
