Fuzion ZRI Tires

Anyone ever heard of these tires? Seems like an awfully cheap price for 'performance' tires. They seem to get good ratings from owners and from the website.

I was thinking of picking these up for my next set of tires.

And check out the price..........

You get what you pay for. I have them, but I don't race.
If your a hard driver and each turn you take as if your in
the F1 finals then they're prolly not good for you haha.

They are made by Brigstone. It's a good tire, I have fun with
it on my every day driver. I get to zip around turns with out a peep
out of them. They are nice and quiet on the highway.

Thats basically what I am looking for? Are they as good in the wet as people say that they are?

Also, how long (how many miles) have you had them?

I've had them on for only about 3 months.

As for wet I thought they were amazing. Where ever I saw water standing
on the highway, I'd cut right through it. No hydroplaning.

I have a Fusion ZRis on my car and they are a really nice tire. I ran them last season (about 7000km) and there is very little wear on them compaired to a set of kumho's ECSTA I had previously (they only lasted about 15000km).

The wet grip is awsome it feals like you are driving on dry pavement.

Also they have a "Rim Protector" on them which helps protect against curb rash.

I am very happy with them and will buy them again when i have to replace them.

Thats cool, I was a little put off by the price, it seemed to good to be true for that price, but I just may have to try them.........

my one friend has an 02 Stratus RT 2-door, and he just had these tires put on. he said that they sucked compared to the factory tires (which i'm not sure what they were). so i dunno, i've never used them. i personally have Federal SS-595's and i like them alot

Everyone has their own thoughts as to what makes a tire good. The only thing I can compare to are the following:

Goodyear Eagle RS-A (factory)
Firestone Affinity LH-30
Khumo (not sure what they were truthfully, 712?)

- Grip -
They grip better in the dry than all of the above. Not as good in the rain as my Affinitys, but definately better than the RS-A and Khumo. Don't like temps to be under 50 F. Not as bad as the Khumos, but when it gets cooler, they just spin and spin. Snow? Why? I just put my Affinitys back on for the winter.

- Ride Quality -
Definately a stiffer sidewall than my Khumos had. The ride suffers just a bit, but that is what I expected from my 17s with high performance tires. It is nice and cushy when I put my 16s back on for the winter with the Affinitys.

- Tread Life -
So far, better than the Khumos. I burned through the Khumos in two seasons. So far through one season, there isn't much wear visible. I doubt they will compare to the RS-As, since they lasted over 50k miles.

- Price -
This is Firestones attempt to counter the Khumos of the world on price. They also want to get the kids in the door to the Firestone dealerships hoping for future brand loyalty to the more expensive Firestone and Bridgestone lines. (Worked for me since I picked up the Affinitys)

It is fairly true that you get what you pay for. I doubt these will stick as nicely as some of the more pricey tires, but then again they don't cost nearly as much either. Always some what of a trade off.

I work for BFS and the Fuzions are decent tire especially for the price. There is another guy at work who has them in 18's on his eclipse. The rears have already worn bald and he says it handles like arse in rain. I think he has suspension issues though cause he has put less than 10,000 miles on those tires and the rears are bald. My opinion may be biased as I work for the company but I think Bridgestone/Firestone tires are some of the better tires on the market. Most people got put off of them over the whole recall 5 years ago. But if you need tires for any of your cars at least give firestone a call and see what they can hook ya up with. They do offer price matching with other brands. Well time to go work on some broke a$$ cars.

You think? Especially since that is a front wheel biased vehicle, the rears shouldn't have worn anywhere near as fast as the front. Even if it were an AWD, the rear should have worn much slower than the front.

If you are looking for a decent dry and rainy condition tire, I would suggest the Ecsta 711 by Kumho. They are cheaper (69 a piece via tire rack for 215/40/17) and they are outstanding performers for the money. The Fuzion ZRi tires I had were good, yet they were a very soft tread and they wore quicker than my 711 tires did (about 5000 miles). Ultimately, it's your choice. If it was me, get the 711's and pocket the difference for something else................

I'll have a sig someday....................

Now I'm confused.... I'm thinking about getting the ZRI's myself.... They look pretty good and the reviews they got weren't bad at all. But here I'm seeing people say they suck. If I were to buy them, and not like them, what other tires would be suggested? I'm looking at GoodYear Eagle F1's, Pirelli Nero's, and Dunlop Direzza DZ101's. Any suggestions?

Try Kumho 711's great price, good tread life. I have been riding on mine for over a year and they are still meaty.

Where did you see anyone say they suck? At least from someone with firsthand experience. I have had mine for 2 or 3 seasons now which I think is about 15k miles, and they still are in great shape. I still have no other complaints or comments other than what I have already posted.

What you probably need to do first is establish your price range. Some of the other tires you mentioned cost more than the ZRi. So if you have the budget, I'm sure there are nicer tires out there than the ZRi. But for the price, it is doubtful you can find much better.

I had this on my cavalier, and had great results with them. I could dog-leg in hard corners with them, and wouldn't slide around corners. I would recommend these again on the cavalier, but I'm going with Goodyear Eagle F-1s on the 'balt.

I had them on my old wheels when they first came out and I thought they were a great tire for the price. The had excellent wet and dry traction and I AutoXed with them a few times and they seemed to perform well.

They use Fuzion ZRI tires on ALOT of cars from "PIMP MY RIDE", not saying if that is good or bad. But they are out there.

I dropped a set on my 88 Firebird. They made a hell of a difference in higher load driving, especially in the rain. I know they are no race tire, but they kept the ass end of my bird in line for a change.
Just my .02
