What,s upo, I'm getting a new set of wheels and tires. The tires are of the Federal Brand, the SS 595 ultra high performance tire (the V style) in 215/45/17 format.
Has anyone tried these tires and what do they think of them ?

For what they are worth. They work decent.. But if your REALLy lookin for a performance tire... Or somethin to work on the track, or in the 1/4 mile... Obvisouly a $100 a piece 17 inch tire isn't goin to do the trick. But for just all around daily driving, and nothin really performance oriented.... They are round, and hold air.. Thats about all you need isn't it?

i had federal super steel 595s and absolutly loved them. sweetest tread ive ever seen on a performance tire.
i figured id bring break rather then start a new one

iv heard good things on these tires and for under 300 for all 4 tires is a pretty sweet deal.
anyone else have these?
i dont really care about what the tread looks like.. long as it hooks up.. im looking for a good performence tire.. i dont want drag radials or slicks.. iv got spare 15's for those
