headunit relocation
Tuesday, March 08, 2005 1:05 PM
i was wondering if ne one has relocated their head unit somewhere other then below the hvac. I have ran into a problem wiht my relocation i thought it was going to fit but i got to put it in and now it does not does any one have any other ideas of where to relocate it to and pics so i can get a good idea. I cannot move it over by the pass vent beacause that is where m,y hvac is right now cause my monitor took up the space where my headunit and hvac was. If you understand any of that. Any way if you can post pics of your head unit relocation that would be awesome thanks

are you relocating it so you can install an aftermarket radio? If so, youre doing a lot of extra work. If you want to keep the door chimes, you can get a little class 2 data interface bull@!#$ thing.

Build on to the bottom part of your dash, you could make a custom housing there. Shifter may get in the way though.

THat was thew idea I was talking about lol. As far as the idea i believe it can work. You may want to try bringing it down a little more if at all possible. Also you could take that peice under the main dash out, the change holder or whatever it is. It might give you some room to work with.
