is the flasher for the turn signal before or after the switch in the wiring?

The flasher is the componate directly before the switch.
hmmm, that sucks lol. On my towncar I have a turn light that comes on solid on the side of the fender that lights the direction that I'm turning, I want to do something similar on the cavalier, but I don't want it to frash... I guess I will just have to wire something that will turn on when it gets a flash and stay on till it doesn't recieve a flash for a set ammount of time...
