Got them in

FINALLY, I have an interior mod that didnt come out of a spray can or invovle fixing somebody elses bad wiring ...and only 2 bloody knuckles from a slipping wrench !!

I now have cav hi-back buckets and rear in the sunbird, and one big "oooopppssss" on my hands.

The new buckets must be from a 4-door, since they recline fine BUT are missing the knob/mechanism to fold foreward. Kinda makes the back seat a skinny-people-only proposotion

Anybody know a way to install the fold mechanism off the old seats without taking a razor blade to my nice new upholstery ? I've looked and the best I can come up with means removing them again and taking off the seatback cover. I'm hoping somebody has a trick up thier sleeve.

Better yet, anybody know why I call fighting with rusted bolts that were last loose 15 years ago to be "fun" ?

Yup--the car is filthy. Kinda happens to a daily driver living on a gravel road when its too cold to wash it . The dash highlights are done in a method I wanted to experiment with---they are grey primer sprayed on unsanded plastic, then clearcoated. It turned out pretty good. I kept most of the "pebble" finish the parts are molded with but still look decent. The matts are just the winter-beaters and I havent gotten around to doing the door panel hilights yet.
