I was just wondering if a short shifter in a 2001 pontiac sunfire would fit my 99 with the 2200 motor. I belvie his motors is the 2200 as well . I checked b&ms site and it only lists for a sunfire from 95-99 or somethign like that nothin about sunfires over 00.

No. Different tranny. Different shifter. Not at all compatable.
95-99 are the same and 00-05 are the same.
B&M does make one for the 00-05.

anyone buy a cheapo ebay shifter? they dont look like theyre very bad, unless they're made from melted soda cans. i was thinking about grinding mine down but the part would work alot better i would guess
