I searched and i didnt find much on it. I know the basics of hooking up gauges but this one has me confused. I bought it from a fellow org member a while ago and finally decided to install while i was redoing my gauges for my air ride. anyway it came w/ no instructions so i thought no big deal. well i flip the gauge over to look at the wires and theres 4 wires. white (obvious is the light wire), black (the ground wire) and 2 light blue wires. i thought it would only be 3 wires and that the one blue wire would just connect to a 12v source but im confused on why there are 2 light blue wires. i looked up on autometers site and i didnt find anything for that particular gauge. its an autometer pro-comp ultra-lite. if anyone can help it would be appericated.
i think my glowshift volt gauge had 4 wires. one was switched 12v source to power the gauge, one was ground, one was something that came on with the lights, and i want to say the other one was also a 12v source, which was the one that it read the voltage from. at least thats how i think it went. i'm sure none of this is helpful, but it might give you an idea or lead you in the right direction
yea i thought it might be something like that but i just dont see why it couldnt of been just one wire like the usual are
baggedcav: i have the Z-series volt gauge installed in my car when i get home today i will look at it but i believe i have for wures on mine, white-lights, black(light wire)-ground, black(guage)-ground, and then i have a red hooked to the terminal tapped into the wiper fuse circuit so its on switched power!
maybe that helps i dont know? NEXT thing would be get out a small batter and test it, lol

is one of them dimmer wire?
i dont know its hard to tell, there isnt anything marked on the back of the gauge showing what it could be so i might have to either test it out on a battery myself or call up autometer and ask them
if its autometer , email them
just get the # from the face of the gauge
ive always gotten fast replies when ive emailed them about questions
i stopped being lazy and just tried to put the wires to the battery and i figured out what is what. one of them is a ground for the gauge and one is the power

you Don't know everything?
lol
hope everythin works out
i know a good amount (minus performance) but that extra wire threw me off and the fact it was the same color as the other one had me confused
