im in the process of swapping out my cav dash for the sunfires..
ive got almost all the parts i think... only thing i need left is a 98-99 digital gauge cluster for a manual...
the cav and sunfire clusters are nothing alike so my 99 one from my cav wont fit.
so what i need is a 98-99 digital odometer, gauge cluster from a manual sunfire...

I am curious about your swap to a sunfire. I have an 00' cav and I plan on converting to the fire dash. Did you run into any problems, or can you give us a breakdown on it? I'm just wandering if the main firewall piece needs to be from an 00+ or is it the same.

I'm still wandering about the main firewall piece. I have an 00 with the radio on top and the hvac on bottom. Do I have to get an 00+ sunfire dash or will the earlier years work.

i wouldnt be too sure about that meaning i swapped out a 99 cav for a 97 fire...
i got everything except for the top dash and the cluster... the cluster is the hold up right now...
ill post a how to as soon as the job is done... but first i need a cluster....
and so far the swap hasnt been to difficult just time consuming. ive only worked on it 2 days and am already almost done.... just need a damn cluster...
i take that back after searching the org for awhile i found that you can use a automatic cluster in a manual...
so i need a 98-99 cluster with digital odometer...
