i'm looking to relocate my door handles (exterior), but the mechanism on the inside will need to be modified. basically rods will need to be extended and moved. too much of a pain to do? is it even do-able or will it screw my doors up?

well you might wanna start by tellin' people where you are movin' it to
thought i'd see if you all wanted to take a guess. sorry, it's going on the black part of the window/door. like a beretta and lumina. i saw how the rods went down and in the door from the beretta donor i got the handles from, i just wasn't sure if it can connect like that to the ones in my cavalier.
Might not be enough space there...
Its right in the window track and that black piece is only an 1/8" thick cover
Behind that, you have a little metal, bout 1/8 - 3/16" thick, 1.25" wide
maybe go to a yard and look at one of those cars. pull the door panel off and see how it works. you might be able to grab some parts and fab something up. if not you can always do colt door handles so they fit flush
