yeah, its about time for finals with school. plus the busy season at work which is a great combo already, then i got a bunch of @!#$ falling in my lap all at once. i do hope to have the dash in by the end of the month/beginning of January at the latest.

well after a bunch of bull@!#$, i finally got the dash back, fixed from the douche, and i am gonna make sure everyone in this damn town knows the hell he has put me through....
but i got a teaser picture.... and i am currently wrapping up a few loose ends, planning on getting this thing in within the next few days. keep everyone posted.

i am making the mounting points for the tv now, then the guage cluster, then we will start pulling the dash out of the car!

well the guy i had wrap the dash was highly recommended from everyone i talked too over the past few years. well apparently there have been some changes, ie an alcohol or drug problem that has started since all that information.
when i dropped the dash off, i gave him everything on the dash including a gauge to make sure everything would fit back in the dash after he wrapped it. well he was planning on rolling and then gluing the vinal down around the gauges. when i picked the dash up, the edges were just pulled in the hole, preventing any of the gauges from fitting. he never test fitted the gauge.
he told me everything was glued down, and i can just go back and trim the vinal to make it fit, if it started to lift, bring it back, and he will re-glue it. well it started to lift about 3 weeks ago when i was prepping the dash to go in, so i took the dash back that day. apologized, and told me he would have it back to me by Tuesday. this was a Monday. well i showed up on Tuesday, and he "was in the middle of something" and needed till the next day. well stopped by the shop wed to pick up the dash, and he basically fell off of the face of the earth till today. the shop wasnt open, the shop phone was cut off later that day, and the cell number i had was going straight to voice mail, with a full mailbox.
i have been calling this guy since, once and awhile it would let me leave a voice mail. and i did. well i called up this morning, and no answer, got the voice mail, and left a msg saying that if this isnt resolved by this coming Sunday, i will be taking it up in small claims court. that was at 9 am on the way to work. stopped by about 12 ish, just to see if anyone was there, contemplating a B&E just to retrieve my dash, and they were there, when i walked in, they had it sitting there ready, wouldn't stop apologizing for the "lack" of communication, and told me to have a nice day.
so i got her home, the tv is mounted, i am trying to figure what i can do for the cluster, trying to re-engineer some things. gotta work at 10 tomorrow for about 5 hours, then off sun and Monday to get this taken care of. i think i am gonna step back, and think a bit for tonight, and pick back up in the afternoon.
Sucks to hear that bro, hope to see it installed soon.... i've been growing old waiting to see it in the car!
FOR SALE
just got home from work, and we have some nice weather. i am about to go pull the car out, and start pulling the dash. then hopefully get everything worked out from there.
got everything out of the car. gonna re-do some wiring along with fixing some cracks in the morning, and then see how far we can get tomarrow... i got some pictures for everyone as soon as i get them off my phone.

Wow, I always remove the center console before removing the lower dahs, makes it soo much easier. Waiting for final pics.

i was waiting to see if i had to, thinking i would, i had no issues clearance wise. i have been batching up some cracks, gotta smooth out the top of the bottom of the dash, and get it wrapped, then we should be putting everything back together.
cant wait man. ive been watching this since you started lol. looks great . sucks about the bullsh!t with the guy who wrapped it. but props for the work and taking the time.
