we got an 04 cavalier in at work in arrival blue. it was hit in the drivers side, and the hood was damaged in the accident. so it was going to be crushed after we dismantled the car. so i wanked it off and got it for $5 (cost of core) so now i have a huge sheet of steel the same color as mt car.

im going to cut the sub frame off it and make door inserts, map pocket inserts and a cup holder insert out of it. i think it will look pretty good. but i still have a half a hood left. what else can i use it for? and how do you guys think it will look?

im open to suggestions.

I think thats a damn good idea, wouldnt of thought of doing that, ide make an insert for the HVAC cover as well, but thats just me

Ummm... wouldn't sanding or glassing the inserts be ALOT easier then metal working sheet metal to fit, then having to repaint it all (cause the forming will makess the paint crack and fall off like crazy) then just having the inserts painted body color?

^^^^^^^^^^^^^ no i took the door panels off and pulled off the carpet thing in the map pockets cutt it out with a steel blade on a jig saw and put it back on.

now that ive got one door done they look to plain, kinda out of place. now i think im going to do blue diamond plate.
