looks like you have A LOT of work to do. Oh and if its a 2.2 nonecotec, first thing should be swap that motor out and throw in the trash and swap in the ecotec. Gook luck
GMR has got nothing on this
..well i dont have the money for an engine swap.....so what are you guys suggesting i should do to it?

do what YOU want to your car , not what everyone else wants you to do. because, when it all comes down to it, you have to drive it. not them, congrats on the new car, enjoy,

95+ Cavalier and Sunfire Convertible Service Manual! A must read for vert owners!
Wheels/tires, CAI, tube header and full exhaust. It's not much but the gains will help in both efficiency and performance. Simplicity is your friend.
well i think i wanna do a body kit, CAI, exhaust, and paint interior a little bit. to start.
looks good... pretty much what im starting with... but to bad its a 2.2L auto... the slowest of the slow...
haha yeah..i was debating weather or not to buy it. there is another sunfire for sale same body style as mine except its a 2dr. 2.2L 5 speed, red with like 140k and they want either $1000 or $1200 cant remember which, but they said it has something wrong with overheating i think so thats why i didnt buy that one.
J TO ENVY wrote:I love the fact that it's a Sedan! It seems like Sedans are the new thing around here. If you're more into looks than performance, the 2.2 is a fine engine. It may not have a lot of power, but it will last a very long time if maintained properly.

true that... the 2.2 is a very reliable engine... my first cav was a 4 door 2.2 5 speed... and we put 300k+ on it when we sold it... and it was still running... my second cav got totaled at 280k and was still running strong... and that was a 2 door 2.2 5 speed... and my current fire has 240k on it and its a 4 door 2.2 5 speed and it runs mint (knock on wood)...
they are an awesome engine...
To be honest................ I'd start with lowering it, and some rims first... maybe some dark tint... then worry about body kits...
If you do a kit first, then lower it and put rims.. you might just risk being a SCRAPER!!!!!!!!!!!
Word of advice.
id start by selling it and using the money for a better cause, there just doesnt seem much of a point in dumping money into a car that will never really be fast, and the amount of money needed to make it a decent looking head turner would be a waste
well i cant really lower it because i live in maine which = tons of huge potholes. the roads are horrible up here. i really dont like the stock front bumper thats on it at all.

ya im not a big fan of that bumper either... i plan on putting a gt front bumper on mine... might dress it up a bit...
