I am a little pissed. I think when they cut the 8" tubing they pushed SUPER hard with the band saw causing the tubing to be out of round by around 1/8". So Im going to have to try and straighten it in the press. Hoping like hell I can get it close to perfect.

Wait, the flange itself it out of round? What in the hell...
Paying someone to install parts and bragging about it being fast, is like watching someone bang your wife and being proud to raise their kids.
no no, reading > you. The TUBING is out of round..... from when they cut it off the big length.

Been busy for the last few weeks with my dad in the hospital. Things are finally getting back to normal and I managed to swap the switches and gauges over to my new switch panel.
Im hoping to get it mounted and finish the wiring tomorrow night when its a little warmer out.

Saturday I cut out the lid and got the Y block and a tube for the fuel rail return welded on. Hoping to get more done later this week.

Wow dude, that is looking amazing.
Getting closer on the surge tank. It just needs a baseplate, studs for the pump wires, real fuel line between the pumps and Y block, and an oring.

Its the second gas tank.
Basically the lift pump (that Im installing in the main tank) feeds this. Then the high pressure / high flow awesomeness is created up front where it can easily feed the fuel rail (in this case through -8 lines). The fuel rail returns to this tank, and to keep the tank from pressurizing the fuel can overflow back to the stock tank.
Make sense?

RIP JESSE GERARD.....Youll always be in my thoughts and prayers...
Sweet can't wait for updated numbers.
Since my dad unexpectedly passed away at 73 on April 5th I havent been very motivated, nor had much time, to work on car projects.
However, life goes on, and Im finally getting back to it. Tuesday night I finished welding the surge tank. I still need to decide on how to feed the power wires through the lid, but the main fab work is done now.
The hoses are just screwed to the tank to see how they will run/look. Likely the return line on the top of the tank is going to follow the feed line which should be cleaner.
More to come, hopefully a little more regularly now.

Beautifull car man!! Just to give you my two cents with everything you have did with this car meaning fab work, injanuity (prob spelled wrong..lol) and creativeness your build has to be at the top of the list!! That surge tank is sick man rite on along with all the other fab work you have done and the welds are simpliy amazing.. You have some serious skill going on in your build and Im loving every second of it..Im gonna be watching this and cant wait to see some numbers and Vids of this beast!! Great job bro...continue..lol
