Awesome work guys. Jealous that we can't do this here or the cops will show up and we will get fined thousands of dollars. Sub'd for the updates.

What's wrong with the purple car??

The purple car needs a new roof, windshield, quarter panels, plus a complete new paintjob. And the body has north of 350,000km

Yeah they just assume you're going to spill something. You can barely even open your hood if your parked on the street. Remember, this is totalitarian Massachusetts. You aren't allowed to do anything unless its paying ridiculous taxes or on the liberal agenda. If you're doing any kind of work like that you'd really have to hide it out back on your property. I miss Pennsylvania :/

Colin used to own the car, Chris bought it about 3 years ago when Colin moved out to Alberta. He swapped on the 3500 heads and upper manifold last year.
Update: car runs, pictures and video later.

So sore... so tired..

V6 so loud with open header. *gurgle*

It was nice to see Chris' face when the car cranked over... he's been waiting for this to happen in a new shell for a long time.

Completed this weekend:

Tear down, sign and shred the old purple car. The car was gutted to the bone in less than a day, loaded up onto a trailer, and strapped down with no suspension.

Install 3500 hybrid into the new Arrival Blue car, fire it up. Celebrate with cigars and Rye.

With that said Chris gained a rust-free shell with really clean paint, a sunroof & power windows, all the options AND a built-up LD9 that is now going to sit in his garage until he finds a buyer.

Not too shabby for 2 days worth of work!

Yeah I realized that after I hit post... I should have known better since it's my fav colour J-body in my favorite body style and favorite year.

It felt good to see a 3500 hybrid in it giving it the powertrain I've always believe GM should have provided at the factory for these vehicles.
