Matt, your right. But the progress I have made was lastnight I installed the plastic tank with W-body fuel pump. Also I installed the interior harness. My tranny is at the shop getting the TGLSD installed. Next is to put the interior back together.
Im getting my car re-sprayed a different color so I can't put the engine in yet. Needless to say, this is gonna take a while lol. But I have all my parts, just waiting for installation.

Glad to see this is still being worked on.
It will be worth it in the end.
Any teasers of the new color? Anything else changing during the color change?
"Oil Leak ? What oil Leak ? Oh, Thats Just The Sweat From All The HorsePower!!"
different color!???!?!!!? no more twins?!
I choose the technology built for land speed records... not the technology built to save on emissions and gas mileage.
Here is a little update with a tiny issue.
Update includes the dash and bracing is back in, along with manual dash harness. The issue i ran into is the fact im using a 2k cluster with 97 dash. Now im playing around with some thin metal bracing to fill in the gap between the cluster and the back of the dash. For those who dont know the 95-99 cluster is a lot thicker than the 2k cluster, so for the 2k cluster to be stable I need to brace it.
I also recieved my stock brake and clutch pedal covers today
Here is a pic just showing progress, I also thru my 140mph cluster in there with new custom radio bezel. Sorry for the crapp cell pic.

lol damn you for getting your bezel in first!

How about extending the bezel to the guages? Rather than metal.
Looks great man.

Basically everything you were gonna fill in with metal do it with plastic or fiberglass and mold that to the bezel itself. That way it has a clean factory look.
Ahhh I see what you mean, thanks for the idea!

I like it and if I ever add gauges, thats the place I would want to add them.
Looks good David, Im glad you didnt give up on it when you were getting frustrated.
yea mark. that ortiz guy does great work. i got the same bezel as david as well as a custom 3 pillar pod that he made out of a stock pillar.

Got my parts back from powdercoating. 2000 degree hot temp powder. Not pictured is my dump tube that I forgot to give them when I dropped these off. Sorry pics suck, from my phone, then I have to foward to my photobucket, that is where they get all grainy.
On another note, I got my tranny back from the shop. Time to paint that thing.

A little update on the car. Yes im still chugging away at it. All of the 5 speed stuff that I needed to convert from auto is done, just not installed in car yet engine bay wise. Interior is together.
Im waiting on to figure out a paint scheme for the car and engine bay before I install everything.
But I just finished up my harness. I removed all wires and plugs/sensors that I am not using. Below is the end result. Only thing wires i modified where nylon wrapped and heat shrinked. I can not believe how small this manual harness is compared to my damn auto one lol. This one will be a lot easier to hide.
