Wilwood Rear Brakes INSTALLED!!!!
Sunday, October 19, 2008 2:56 AM
The Wilwoods Rears are on now. The drivers side gave us some trouble because we needed a fitting or two that was not included. So 15 bucks later at Checker for some fitting and compression rings and a packet of thread lock, we were good. Then we had a leak and had to go get bigger compression rings, and we were GOLDEN. The brakes are NICE!!! I owe Chad from Gravanatuning.com for the hook up with these...He was a pleasure to deal with and answered all the questions I had. I even called him a few times today for help. They are a ton better then stock, and a ton better then they were with just the fronts on...Well here are the pics....

Hey guys thanks for all the comments. I appreciate them all and always will....The brakes are so so so so so so so so nice, and minus the part store trips, they were SUPER EASY to install...

Darkstars is right, they are not out and never will be...This is a one off kit that is ALL CUSTOM. And Darkstars if you have a problem with who I bought them from please keep that between you and him.

After about 45 minutes to an hour of fill and bleed, this thing will stop on a dime and give you .09 change ...The entire brake system has brand new fresh fluid. drained it ALL....

Chris I know you'll enjoy them as much as I did!

Basic rotors, , the GT rotors are meant for actual performance. The more expensive SRP's are "show" rotors. But being the little ricer bitch that you are you probably wouldn't know that.

coming form the guy who buys a vette so he can pretend he has a penis LOL

and yes considering those are the standard rotors and the SRS is the more expensive option that would make them the basic rotors. And show me where I said he shouldn't have gotten them or that they aren't as good... I must have missed that. Point is matching kits with drilled and slotted rears and only slotted fronts looks weird. Wanna rethink that and try again?

alright guys the F'ing pissing contest can stop.....If you got problems deal with it elsewhere...

the fronts are GT rotors...not basic rotors...they are PERFORMANCE rotors...look it up....the GT rotors are NOT basic, and are better then the drilled/slotted...ive done the research and i know all about it.. Wilwood will even tell you this...

then I stand corrected, I was under the impression they all came with the slotted but they had the option of drilled/slotted.

I drive a cavy and have a 9 inch dick!

I would still have a 9 inch dick drving a vette... just would be going alot faster

Breaks look crazy nice man, gald to see the install went well!

Actually the GT rotors are a little less expensive because they are less labor intensive than the SRP's. Being that they aren't drilled or zinc coated. They are the best choice for someone that wants performance over looks.

Damn Chris you were too fast on the edit.

Wilwood kit comes with the basic UL-HP rotors (plain face) or the SRP (drilled/slotted/coated) rotors. The slotted rotors you see above are more expensive.

That said, the rear setup thread died. I have the knowledge and skills to create a rear Wilwood setup, but only if there is SERIOUS interest, and it won't be cheap.
