Car Burning Oil

Is it common for 2.4's to burn oil at all , and if it does what can i do to stop this?

not sure if its common, i haven't heard it much before. But it could eb a number of things. How many miles are on your car?

if burns oil at all times, even at idle, it could be bad piston rings, out of round cylinder. those are probably the most common.

No, it is not common. When I was using dino oil I never had to add oil when doing 3k mile oil changes.

Now that I am using M1, I have to add 1/2 quart at 7k miles.

All engines burn oil, it depends on how much your burning.
