Hey everyone,
I'm new to the whole scene and have been working on my car for a little while now. I just wanted to see if I could get some opinions on what I've done so far, and maybe some ideas of where to go from here. My pictures are on the Car domain site at
http://www.cardomain.com/ride/2380763 . Let me know what you think. Thanks.
i agree. IMO you need to lower it. but u have listed on your cardomain that you intend to lower it on the "JDM" coilovers... as you'll find here, there is not one single person who will reccomend going that way. everyone will tell you to either get a quality set of coilovers, such as ground control coilovers (highly reccomended for a coilover setup) or something like the RKSport setup, OR they will just tell you to buy a good set of lowering springs, such as eibach prolines or sportlines, any of the Tein setups, or anything along those lines. typically buying any kind of performance option with the "JDM" lettering anywhere surrounding it is gonna be crap. appearence is another thing tho, and JDM things are seemingly of a higher quality for that purpose. and we cant forget about struts after you lower your car. almost all of the time you need to buy a higher quality strut than stock in order to keep up with the higher quality spring youve put on your car (to put it simply).
clicky read that and you'll learn a lot about how to lower a car correctly

just figured id share that
youve got a damn nice ride goin there, keep it up, and you'll not only be very happy with it, but people will take notice of a job well done. and welcome to the .org!
looks nice! get the rksport front corner lights for the cavy and lower it... if you go with a body kit like car domain says then you should look into a hood and maybe a new, nice, not alluminum or ricey spoiler...

Thanks everyone, I appreciate the information. I was looking at the JDM's because I was told that they were really good. I guess I just need to do a little more research, but the car is going to get dropped an inch to an inch and a half. I have just started looking at spoilers and found one on winks online, just need to save up the money.
good coilovers are ground controls there about 400 brand new. next up is the tein basics which come w/ struts and they are roughly 800 then the tein ss and gravana coils (both come with struts) are 1500. any coils cheaper than 300 are probably garbage, unless you get them used from someone
for like an inch, inch and a half youd be better off with just springs (that is unless you definately plan on consistantly changing the height of the car) for springs id suggest any of these (
clicky) to give you an idea of what you can get. (there are other places that sell the same springs for ranging prices, so look around, gravana is just the best for an example rite now)
if you still want coilovers look here for some ideas

or

(again; there are other places that sell the same springs for ranging prices, so look around, gravana is just the best for an example rite now)
and good luck
