click the hyperlink button (

) and enter in the URL and link text you want.
also, posting a picture as a link...
when posting a URL as a link, there's two parts to the link.
the first part is the code for the link itself, the second part is what you want displayed in the post.
for example: if you want a link to go to cardomain.com, you would use the code: [ URL=http://www.cardomain.com]
then, for what you want displayed, you would use the code to display a picture (IMG tags as discribed in this sticky). at the end, you would include the closing URL tags ([/URL]).
the whole thing would look like: [ URL=http://www.cardomain.com][ IMG]http://www.someurl.com/picture.jpg[/IMG][/URL] minus the spaces (and with whatever link/picture you wanted to display).
i hope this come out

OK OK......im doomed, i havent posted because of the wasting posts thing but the preview button always displays that red X box..i dont know how to resize the image or even find the URL in my registry. it's in my registry because car-domain sucks.
go to your Control Panel, click on Upload Photos and you'll see the pictures that have been uploaded into your registry already. for the pics you want to see, click the View button and the address in the address bar is the URL. use that when you go to post the picture.
i cant resize the image...ahh screw it
IF THIS DONT WORK IM GONN SHOOT MY SELF

in order to post a picture, you must have the URL of the picture itself, not the page that the picture is on.
for example: this is the URL you're trying to use
http://truckworld.tenmagazines.com/tenarticle.asp?aid=2310&sid=42
a URL for an image will almost always end in an extension like ".jpg", ".bmp", or ".gif".
Why dose my sig come out with red and green lines
cant use HTML, have to do it this way
[/IMG]http://img236.imageshack.us/img236/8775/debeveledwetworkscopy4jc.jpg[/IMG]
just delete the first / and it should work fine
no HTML, you keep using it...you cant adjust the image size. Save it and shrink the size of the picture.

actually, yes you can.
when entering the IMG tags, you can set the height and width within the opening tag, for example:
[ IMG width=xx height=xx]URLgoeshere[/IMG] (obviously without the space before IMG in the opening tag).
you can if you change just one, they both change proportionaly, or you can use both to set it to whatever height/width you want.
keep in mind though, there is still an 80k file size limit for signatures. so if you take a 300k image and size it down to 500x200 using the height and width code, it's still 300k, whereas it might only be 50k if you actually resize the file itself.
hope that makes sense.
actually, the best place to check to see if your picture works is to use the Preview button instead of posting.
