well then 141whp on these mods: * custom intake setup
* greddy exhaust
* bosch 2 plugs
on a Ecotec.

Besides, I dont talk numbers other than drag strip performance... I still wonder how wenzel is going mid 13s with only 160whp

I don't get it either but I checked the car out for myself and if I hadn't been on the line for all but 1 of his runs I wouldn't have believed it either.

Well I won;t question the times because I got 14.8 on 138whp. Track times has alot more to do with driver and car set-up. Besides this list is not about times, but power. 141whp on those couple mods is very unlikely. If people are going to look at this list and maybe decide a route to go with there performance mods then the cars on it should be somewhat accurate.

should just update the other list with quickest 1/4 time and put a whp/wtq with it. have one CURRENT list.

I see what you are saying John, but some cars are dyno queens/kings. They are show cars that can put down power, but not times because they are very heavy and most never even go down the track lol. This list gives those tuners a chance to be recognized too. Generally speaking, the guys with the faster times have more power, but not always; like in Wenzel's case.

well anyone wanna guess what i will put down? (im going augst 11th to dyno --> mustang dyno)
-aem cold air
-TTR upper motor mount
-rksport lower motor mount
-magnaflow catback
-cat delete
-34lbs injectors with 2* of timing
-hptuners tune by BCPtuning
i dont know if this matters but i keep with a this cobalt ss/na the 2.4 its stock with 171hp/163tq and he has a intake and 34lbs with 2* of timing and a HPTuners tune as well
i might get my hands on the rksport crank pulley and comp cams before then. but thats 50/50

Yeah, the biggest problem with this list is going to be the differences in types of dynos. Obviously you couldn't start making different lists for each type of dyno, but it's something to consider.
I think for this to be fair, really, it would need to be split up pretty much exactly how the Top 10 1/4 Mile list is - by engine. Because if the idea is to let the tuners show their stuff, well, someone with a 2200 making 120 whp N/A is going to get beaten out by someone with just a couple bolt ons (or even bone stock) on a LD9 or Ecotec. But that person who would be making 120 whp N/A with the 2200 actually has done a decent job of adding power - not a ton, but still a respectable gain.
Just as a side note, looking at the N/A numbers that have been posted so far...I'm surprised there's no one who's posted with an Eco or LD9 making 200+ whp. I know it's not a simple task, but I would have thought there'd be a few here and there.
Maybe I need to win the lottery and go do it.

I agree with alot of what you said. I still thik we should question 156whp with a intake and exhaust. Seems far fetched.

nice try but a supercharger is not a intake.

We need more LD9s. Because 6 ain't gonna cut it. Yes, I know many went and jumped on GM's band wagon, but still we need people to come out of the wood work.
I was looking at P&M section and i would like to see #s from these people.

This is no problem because some tracks are much better than others too. For instance, even at the TVR meet at Great Lakes Dragaway on June 24th, I ran an 11.87 @ 123 MPH which is more MPH than my 11.48 pass a few years ago. Luckily, my home track is one of if not the best tracks in the nation. But some folks are not so lucky. Horsepower is horsepower, and times are times. Dynos are mere machines that (as we all know as machine.....errr car enthusiasts), are not perfect and 100% repeatable/accurate but they are pretty good at what they do be it a Mustang or a Dynojet.
