Post your times.... list your 1/4, trap and mods. Im curious to see what everyone is running. Dont forget to mention how many psi your running too. Dyno #'s are a plus I should be going ot the track on the 26th I hope so Im curious to what everyone else has done.

With your mods, I'd expect a mid 14 to low 15 second run. You should have the power adders to be in the 14s but don't have any traction improving mods so that'll hurt you.

Ill slit my wrists if I run a mid 14-low 15.

I ran a 15.2 with intake and exahust. Im pretty sure with a supercharger on top of that Im not going to drop .1 - .2. Im expecting around a 14 flat and traps around 97-98.

Oh point being, I pulled on 3 different cars that trap in the high 90s.

My friends spec v which regualry traps ~97mph, my friends i/e celica good for 96-97 and a auto g35 coupe. So if im not hitting high 90s we got some problems

a buddy of mine had the gm charger and is best time before it was a 15.3. Added the charger and his best time was a 14.8. But it was on a 99 and he couldn't get the reflash which i think was the biggest problem with that car.

well when i was stock with just a cone filter i ran a 16.1@82MPH i think, after the Charger, upper mounts, and gounding wires i ran a 14.7@91MPH, this is done with an auto. Now i have a B&M shiftplus, but the track doesnt open till april.

Well it depends on how well you hook up off the line.. and also elevation plays a roll in your times as well. But here in Calgary Alberta jbodies with the GM supercharger are running around 14.6sec in the 1/4mile. That is with 6psi of boost, header, 2.5" cat back and a 62mm throttle body.. if you want to go over 6psi and still see any hp gains from a gm supercharger you need to get a Water or Alcohol injection kit... i talked to some one who dynoed both the 6psi pulley and the 8psi pulley and there were no gains at all because the supercharger over heats, then you get knock, and the computer backs down the timing and every thing... where as the alcohol or water injection is basically an intercooler for the roots style superchargers. ahaah sorry to blaber on just thought i would share the info with you and save you time/money, since people have already tested this all out.

You guys do realize people running the 4.5psi pulley on autos with nothing more then an intake are running like 14.7s....

Re: Been to the track with your GM S/C J?

im positive you will run at least low 14's

your talking to people that probably don't know how to run a powerful fwd car in a 1/4 with a manual its easier to get good/consistent time in a auto thats why you see most of them in the 14.7-14.8 range

im running at least low low 14's or high 13's with my mods so im sure you will be close to that as well

also if you have a charger on a 2.4 with out the reflash your actually putting down a little bit more hp because of the fact that your not pulling any timing from up top like the reflash does the key to that all though is in the tunning

Re: Been to the track with your GM S/C J?

Nah I have the reflash done, but im still not worried. I know how to launch my car... even with the s/c on. I can do a nice 2.5Krpm launch with minimum spin.

As far as traps, I was able to stay within 2.5 cars of my buddies 02 Z28 from a 30 roll (automatic), put 1.5 cars on my buddies spec v which traps at 97, put 4 cars and pulling on a spec v with an intake and pulled 1/2 car on a G35 coupe.

So like I said, if I do anything less then a low 14 around 98mph or so im going to be really ticked.

BTW im in NY so elevation isnt a issue.

It well deff. be based upon how well you launch the car.

Sometime when I'm at the track I think I nailed the launch good....but then get my slip and see otherwise.

Good Luck.

98 mph might be pushing it. My bet is a high 96...maybe a low 97.

Butt dyno must be comfortable.
Don't forget man you are talking to people that don't know how to drive a 5 speed.
Man I can outdrive you any @!#$ day

personally i think a low 14.

the norm seems to be low 14's to 14.0 the best i heard on a stock pulley with bolt on's. slap some nitrous on that thing , i seen a 13.1 outta a nitrous'd supercharged z .

keep us updated. i have faith we will see like a 14.0 to 14.4 that is my guess.
good luck.
.....

I havent been to the track with my stock pulley s/c z24, and probably never will sadly enough. But judging what i did againest a stage 1 SRT 4 with 3inch turbo back exhuast i feel confadent a high 13 with my current mods, but i cant prove with a time slip, but i care not, as long as i am happy with this thing.. Now i am looking into upgrading my exhuast again , and getting my computer worked over as i have a 96(Rsm stuff). And redoing the suspension/rebuilding the front end. I Want to maybe fab up a bigger intake( i have a 2.75inch AEM set up), want to make a heat sheild for my header to keep things cool, and not bust my 143k stock isuzu tranny .

Who ever says an auto is better??

no one said they where better but they are more consistent

its about preference, i do alot of daily driving in the city, a manual just wouldnt be fun. I like the auto cause its consistent. It might not be as fast, but i can make it as fast. The B&M shiftplus makes up for alot of the difference between and auto and a manual.

Wow you guys have no faith in your own cars, low 15's to high 14's in a 5 speed, then the S/C is a waist of money (unless your oem is 16's). That car is deff at least real low 14's high 13's, I am feelin a 13.8 or so by his driving. BTW I am the 02 Z28 with the A4 he raced from the 30 roll and I installed it.

I'm not sure what my 1/4 mile is yet, but with stock pulley and heavy azz dual rear section exhaust i ran a 9.2 1/8th...which is good for a low to mid 14's......now i have the 2.7" pulley, walbro fuel pump, pacesetter headers, high flow cat, 2.5" piping to a lite as hell Carbon fiber exhaust, i should be running high 13's-low 14's...plus i have a dry Zex kit not installed yet...should be 13's no problem in hte near future

my 00 ran a best of a 15.4 auto na and with the charger i ran a best of a 14.7 and that was my first time at the track till i blew the motor haven't had a chance since so i say you should pull at least mid 14...don't be suprised if your first few passes are in the 15's till you get launches down its a lot harder then you think and i am in an auto spin like hell till it hits 2nd
