SunbirdZ24 dead for good
Tuesday, February 06, 2007 6:11 PM
Welp, gave my notice at AutoZone today, and driving home, I heard this thunking sound as I drove. Stopped by a shop whom I knew all the employees of. The best mechanic there said it sounded like cv axle or possibly the transmission. I was pissed, but went on with my day, running my errands.

As the day went on, the thunking got louder and heavier. Eventually, grinding was thrown into the mix, and finally the pedals all started vibrating unless I put down some hard gas or brake, then it stopped.

Tranny is screwed, and Ive opted not to fix it. Im parting out the car, so if you need/want anything, ask.

RIP SunbirdZ24

Was tired of working on it. I spent several times more than what I paid on the car modding it and maintaining it...but I was ready for something new.

I'm getting bored of the car that replaced it, too...looking for something more suitable for an environment with a week of sub-zero temperatures and feet of snow...

It was pretty funny, when I had the cav headlights and Z24 grille on it, I used to see this identical Z24 driving around...we'd always wave at each other when we passed...then I didn't see it anymore...found the car at a junkyard a month or so later
