read the info or STFU
im not a fan of neons either but give the dude a break
250 of it being nitrous. Sorry but it's not impressive with today's standards, if you don't believe me check out srtforums.com. Hell look at the people on our own site that put that kinda work into their car...there are a nice few running 12's daily! The Neon is a showcar, no actual proof of power and I doubt it gets raced at the track regularly on the 250hp shot. If it did I might be impressed, however I doubt it has hardly been used until I see otherwise.
I dig the exterior minus the green, but I'm confused as to what Event is trying to show us here, and also as to why it's off-topic versus other cars.
firstly, i posted it here for the ad. it is offtopic, and most of you have made it off topic even more.
its not impressive with todays standards? you;re comparing a turbo charged from the factory car with a car with a built engine.
from being at their open house in 2004 myself in person, he was showing me and donavon a few of the projects they had going for the cavalier and neon, which was impressive.
not sure if ANY of you have noticed in the past year, but not many people have much to show on this site.
a few show cars with bodykits, and only a handfull reaching anything past OR NEAR 200 hp..... and that goes for the boosted guys as well supercharged and turbo. people here are still stuck on intake choice.
most all on this site besides a select few here either:
1) complain that they dont have money so they either half arse things, or sit and complain instead of working a spare job or a first job.
2) come to a site for enthusiasts and complain that their car sucks so they choose not to mod it. kinda like going to a concert and complaining about the music being played. dont like the music or the car, change it. why sit and complain year after year?
3) just sit around more lethargic than the first two and get constantly banned for fun.
if its in the wrong forum, then feel free to move it.
however for 6 grand with NO RESERVE, and the body work was 5 grand alone.
its not a bad buy at all. anyone thats still sport compact oriented atleast.

Go to kbb.com and see how much a neon is worth with 104K miles on it.
They are crap. I had one. A friend of mine had one. Junk.
A neon's resale value drops like a stone. So if you ever plan on sellling it, youre gonna lose a ton of cash even with all the "fancy" mods attached to it.
like said, so does a sunfire or cavalier....
however how many of those are sold here with a FULLY REBUILT ENGINE, FULLY REBUILT RACE TRANSMISSION, BLUEPRINTED, CUSTOM DIRECT PORTED MANIFOLD FOR NITROUS, etc...?
how many of the cars on KBB for that matter have a blueprinted engine? if you wanted to buy a car and have the engine rebuilt to those specs how much would it cost you? 104,000 on the chassis isnt the same as 104,000 on the engine.......
its hard pressed for anyone to find a cavalier on this site thats simply not full of neons and crap body kits, thats being sold for near the same amount if not more.

Suspension is KYB GR2 struts, with DropZone lowering springs.
joe, i;m disappointed you failed to do your research.......while it isnt the exactly a performance or longevity choice.....
Quote:
00-Up Dodge Neon Dropzone Lowering Springs (Set of 4)
Drop: 1.5 Front/1.5 Rear
i think we;ve concluded many times that kybs are able to handle up to 1.5 inches, right?
like said, suspension is different on all cars... useless in comparing our cars setup to cars setup with a completely different suspension
main point why i posted it....
1) if you like sport compacts, its a decent buy at 6 grand no reserve....
2) even if you dont like neons, or hate em for some odd reason, you'd make a hell of alot more than a 6 grand in simply parting it out.
sorry, but from actually going to their open house in 2004, seeing their cavalier project in person and talking with a bunch of guys who have put down well over 150,000K on their cars, dispelling alot of the "myths" you hear from people who have never owned neons, but heard through the grapevine....
their cars are really no different than ours.... different brand, own personal handfull of problems, same grouping.
guess asking people to think these days was a bit too much
