is GM trying to make the Pontiac Soltice GXP take it's place, cause i noticed that the engine hp and torque ratings were nearly the same, but i think the cobalt 272 ss is slightly faster.
very nice car, was wondering if anybody knew if GM was stil going to make this car?

Buy an SS and with GM Stage 2 kit there is your 272.

Cobalt 272 SS is not the Stage 2 version of it. But maybe a possible Stage 3 in the future. I'll keep you all posted.

As of now and for the public there should be or atleast soon a stage 1&2. GM showed a Stage 5 not to long ago. As for 3 & 4 no details on it yet.

Thought the said 1 and 2 and cancelled stage 3
the pistons in the 2.0 can't handle any more than 300whp
