Well as a few of you know my turbo bit the dust in November. I had been looking for a good raplacement and didnt plan on upgrading.....but I did. Ended up buy a ball bearing GT 28!!! I should be making about the same HP ( roughly 240+ at 8PSI) but this should spool up alot faster. Traction will now be a bigger problem then before but oh well lol.

I should have the turbo in tomorrow night and ill take the final pics. So consider this a teaser.

That's awesome.

I bet you that tird is quick as hell, in all of it's ugliness! My neighbor has a '96 200SX SE-R, with a dual ball-bearing t-28, off my old 240SX. The s**t is quick, and I can only imagine that power in an even lighter chassis, must be a hellavalot of fun!

well guys sorry to dissapoint you but the turbo wont be in tonight. Just realized i got the wrong oil return fitting, and the only place near me closes in less than a half hour and itll take me at least 45 minutes to get there. So ill go there tomorrow and hopefully theyll have one in stock. Ill update as soon as i make more progress.

Hell yeah, I love sleepers. Let me know if you get crazy boost spike or part throttle overboost. I want a DBB 50 trim turbo kit when I get back.

A GT28RS will actually help you with traction issues even if you are making more power/torque. it will allow you to modulate the throttle and stay under boost. no more bog or boil.

Yeah its possible. Im right at the theoretical threshold (250HP) before these tranys may give. More specifically 3rd gear. Good news is....i have an extra sitting on my garage floor incase it does go.

apparently the 6 speed from the new se-r's will bolt up with an adapter plate . then you will have a bulletproof tranny.
