Check out my cardomain site. SR20 is an engine that just loves all mods. My set-up is pretty damn basic but is pushing about 240+HP at the wheels at 8PSI. At almost any speed the car would just take off like a rocket. I had it at 15 PSI and the car was just beyond scary.

j/k... sr20det is your best bet... strong motor, TONS of potential for boost. If you don't want to go that route, you could go cheaper for a CA motor (like CA24 i believe) or go more expensive and RB series motor...

I'm not sure if they make it for FWD but I know nissan has a CA18DET. Its 1.8L DOHC turbo. Its only 170hp but its got an iron block and forged internals. Its lighter then the sr20. Not as much potential but you can easily get 300 out of it without changing internals of any sort. Plus they go a hell of a lot cheaper because everyone wants a SR20.
