It it the AWD or the 2wd version. My Denali is this same drivetrain... (AWD). I was supprised when I saw a Trailblazer SS on the road the other day. It has 6 lugs. It must be the exact same drivetrain (with the more potent 6.0 though) Mine is 345, and it will throw you in your seat on launch. It is most fun when you punch it while doing about 25 mph, it downshifts and puts your head in the backseat. Mine is the Yukon XL Denali... So it doesn't get any bigger than that. I can't imagine how that thing must feel!

Congrats!

Beautiful!! I so love that truck. Do me a favor spank some of those high-nosed Cayenne and AMG ML drivers for me.

Is it 2wd or AWD? I think the truck is heavy enough to not need AWD, but seeing the snow on the pics, AWD may help.

That's sweet... Did you see the Car and Driver article where they matched up one of these versus the Cherokee SRT8? They said the SRT8 was faster, but they liked the SS better overall, especially since you could tow more than a jet ski with it haha.

Here are the numbers and what C&D said for each:

Trailblazer SS
Highs: Fast, can tow a boat, roomy interior
Lows: Lazy transmission, and it's still a TrailBlazer (typical C&D GM bashing lol)
The Verdict: An impressively wide range of talents.
horsepower: 395
torque: 400 lb/ft
0-60mph: 5.5 sec
1/4 mile: 14.1 sec @ 98mph

Cherokee SRT8
Highs: Rattlesnake throttle response, looks sporty even though it's a truck
Lows: Tight back seat, trac. control system that can't be completely disabled, stiff ride
The Verdict: A sport-ute with plenty of sport but not much ute.
horsepower: 420
torque: 420 lb/ft
0-60mph: 4.5 sec (yikes!!)
1/4 mile: 13.2 sec @ 98mph (yikes again!! faster than my GTO!)

Frickin awesome. I wasnt even aware that they were out yet. .....I want one now so bad....

Re: From Xtreme to 400hp....

It is an AWD, i heard that with the stabilatrak you dont really need AWD but id rather be safe then sorry. I like the look of the SRT jeep but being 10thou more $'s and being ive only owned chevys i went with this. For the longest time i was planning on getting a new G35 coupe but the RWD turned me away. Im glad i did, i havent even owned this for 24 hours yet and i smile everytime getting in it.

Ill get some pics today, cant promise its gonna be clean. Roads have a lot of water and salt on them from the snowfall.

I havent really gotten on and dont plan on it till i get more miles on it. Were making a road trip to go snowboarding tommorrow so ill rack some miles up on it then.

Ez3k1el ill be down your way tommorrow, i miss WVU so im bringing my buddies down for the weekend, hopefully sat they beat uconn. Were bringing our boards down so during the days were hitting up Wisp and night the bars.

As much as I like car and driver, I wouldnt really realy on their judgement, especially when they said that the Ford Focus hatchback was the SUVC of the year.

all trialblazers are 6 lug 6x5 to be exact where colorados and full size trucks for GM are 6x5.5 so wheels cant be interchanged

when I was at the dealer today (took my colorado in for service) I asked about the TB SS and you can only get them in black, blue, and silver/gray WTF!?!?!? how can you have a sporty vehicle and no red I mean come on

^^
SS>Cayenne
SS>Cayenne S
SS=Cayenne Turbo
SS<Cayenne Turbo S

Spend $90+K to beat a Chevy and it still can't tow a toothpick.

Like I said before... .
