I'd wait awhile for the new camaro's at least until the 2nd production year to avoid insane dealer mark up, so gm gets all the bugs out of it(if their is any), and they might put a better motor in it the 2nd year.(example 04 gto-ls1 05-06 gto-ls2)

You're on the right track with the ls1 and 3.8 turbo though. I think I'd opt for a 6 speed vette.

ahah yep that would be it... a few changes since thoughs pictures mainly just to clean up the engine bay (all new fluid containers) no more yellow ones... and the back brakes are on now too (13" baer rotors all around) and other small things its fun since i get to drive it now too... but then its not really his baby any more as much since he has his 07 Lingenfelter TT Z06 on the way...


Yea i want somthing with a nice V8 in it... or the 3.8L turbo V6 which blows most big v8s away any way... after i have been driving the gnx and trans am all week its going to suck going back to the sunfire ahaha even with 260hp...

From what i have read on the new camaro though it will have at the very least the LS2 in it...

The dealership owner is a die hard camaro fan and has one from just about every year imaginable. Its a prototype, obviously, silver, so sick. Car is HUGE tho! IDK...... he paid close to 100K for it, his son was sayin, sick, definately sick.

gonna have to dissagree with you there exodus. Mind we remind you of the 80K tuner sunfire that went on barrett jackson? And that wasnt even a new car, that was the prototype sunfire tuner car, mind you, the sunfire was on ebay for half what it went for at barrett jackson as well. So being that this is a prototype, for a car that hasn't even come out yet, not just a mock up sunfire, with the charger, bodykit and a guitar, I think its worth a pretty penny. The interior is soooooo rediculous in this thing, it will change with the production models. A lot will change with the production models, hell, just the paper work saying that its a prototype makes it worth more every day that it sits on the show room floor. So in 10 or 15 years, when its worth nearly twice what he paid, I think he will be glad he bought it.

I think you're wrong Sappy, I believe the Corvette's have a 5.7 in them. I know the Z06 model has a 7.0, but I don't remember the engine saying "6.0" on it. I recall it saying 5.7?

The Camaro is ridiculous since GM doesn't even know if they want to produce it from what I read. Dodge will be releasing their Challenger next year, and Chevy's Camaro won't be out for another year or two after that. That'll cost them in sales. It did look cool though at the auto show

First off... you might try doing SOME research about this stuff...

Anyway... yes, the C6 Corvettes have the 6.0 liter LS2.... 400hp... as do the new GTOs, TrailBlazerSS's, SSR's, and.... I think thats it...

Secondly, yes, GM has said for a fact that they are going to produce it... and they have said for a fact its getting an LS2.... I suppose the LS4 could be the base engine rather then a V-6... I hadn't really thought about that...

And it being late might cost them in sales, but the Camaros have a much larger following then the Challengers... and knowing GM and Dodge, the Camaros going to be a few grand cheaper, garunteed.

Besides, Chyrsler is waaaay to happy selling the 300Cs and Chargers for the Challenger to be a high-volume car, because their plants that are dedicated to making those chassis's are maxxed out on production of the exsisting cars.

They have not said for a fact its getting an LS2 unless its changed in the last few weeks. Not to sound like a dick but can u find a site that says that? If its true cool but I doubt they will but that in. Its competing w/ the mustang and will more than likely be around the same weight.


Why not look at a GTO? If you don't like the current body style the new ones will be out in 08.
