Cuz I came up behind a really sick looking Solstice - which says something because I think the standard model is fugly - and it had V8 badging on the rear under the Solstice badge. Some old guy was driving it and I couldn't get him to make that badging mean something.
Funny, I thought the V8 was jsut a rumor???
It was probably a Mallett Solstice, or else he swapped in a v8 HIMSELF.
its not done by GM, mallet did some, i beleive a few others shops will also.
Dunno. He was from out of state but I didn't catch from where. It had some nice side skirts and was sitting real low - much lower than stock, he was almost tuckin' those wheels - that's what made me notice. Then I saw the V8 badge - which looked factory - it matched the other badging flawlessly so I got to wondering about it.
or......
just some moron old man that misbadged it. There is an old guy in my area in a PT Cruiser i see all the time that has V8 badging on it. Only it's WAYYYYY a 4 banger though.

The hotrod power tour had a mallet solstice and some other v8 solstice. And they actually did sell a few mallet solstices.

A more accurate observation has never been typed. These should be the starting points before any serious performance modification. What's the point of making a serious performer if you can't control it's power?
