well, hopefully on monday if all goes well, i'll be in my 2006 stratus sxt. its nice, power windows, locks, remote entry, AC, cruise, cd player. very nice quality on the build, which is one thing i hate about the cavy is how it seems to be fitted together poorly. the only thing is that its an auto, but around pittsburgh, auto is nice

The cavalier isn't even built anymore, the cobalt is now and it is far better than the j-bodies. The dodge entry car was the neon and is now the excalibur.

i know, its kinda stupid to compare, but i guess im just happy to have a car that is well built.

oh and dodge's new entry level car is the caliber, not the excalibur...thats a sword of legend

all he was saying was he got rid of the crapalier because it has a @!#$ty build, and thats why he got a better car. hes not posting an article in a magazine about how the stratus is better because it has a better build quality than the cavalier.

Not is not why he got a better car, it is one of the things he hated about the cav. And try some more punctuation next time. It is hard to read your post.

actually i got rid of the cav because of what I did to it really. i just got sick of modding and sick of the way my car rides, and feels. the cavy treated me good. the only gm problem with it was the rattling dash which may have been due to my motor mounts. i liked my cavy but it became time to move on. and i always liked dodge

I had the motor mounts, if you get the lightened crank pulley the vibrations pretty much go away.

really? i never got the crank pulley because i heard it was also a harmonic balancer and can cause problems if a different unit was installed

my mom had a stratus it had a lot of problems with the brakes hopefully they are better now.

I had the motor and tranny mounts and the car still vibrated. I ordered the lightened pulley not the underdrive. No vibrations at all after it was installed. Real easy to install as well. Much easier than the tranny mounts at least.

stratus will be my next purchase same as u, mine's gonna be black w/ tinted windows tho, whenever i get around to buying one. i love the look of those cars, i work at a dodge dealer, and i dont see many of those in for major work, just maintenance good luck w/ the car!

thanks, and thanks for making me feel more confident in my purchace because of the seemingly good maintnenance record. and yeah, i love the looks, and the list of standard features. I think the only mods im gonna do is stereo and mabey legal tint, possibly add some aluminum accents to the interior, but thats it
