Well, my wife and I had been looking for a new car for her. Its pretty much all hers because I have my car. I told her to pick what ever she wanted and I would just intervein (sp?) if there was a real problem with it. So we had been looking for a while and she picked this out....
its a 2004 Red RX-8. The paint is gorgeous. It has metal flakes in it so it kind of sparkles when the light hits it. Here's some pictures.

The inside is great. I love the looks and the way everything is setup and the seats are great. The HID headlights are soo sweet at night. It feels a little slow but the speedo moves well. Its not real fast but that wasn't a valid reason for me to not let her get it since its her car. What it lacks in speed it makes up for in handeling no doubt. This thing hugs curves like I've never felt before.
I'll take some better pictures once we clean it up a little.
nice pick up
I work on Wall Street, but didn't force you to take out a loan you couldn't afford.
The only thing that I hate about that car. Is that you get two different power ratings between the manual transmission and the automatic transmission. Other than that ... they are awesome!!

I agree 110% and unfortuneatly my wife drives it more than I so its an automatic. Rated at 197hp vs 238hp I believe is the manual.
Very nice cars! I almost bought one, but the power of the goat got the best of me. Very sweet cars though, i love interiors.

Sorry, the camaro never got the garage to begin with. That was my choice though. Reason being it gets EXTREMELY hot here. Also when it rains it rains like crazy. I dont want my daughter getting in an extremely hot car or out in the pooring down rain because I want the camaro in the garage. Its still my garage...i'm just the nice guy who allows her to park in it, lol.
ahhhhhh i c... i had no idea u had a daughter, then its understandable.. i'd do the same thing...
still nice pick up, only thing im not liking is the tails but they do suit the car...

Yea, going from an Explorer to an RX-8 probably wasn't the smartest move in the world. But I'm getting 18-20mpg which seems like a TON after the explorer. This thing is a lot more fun to drive also, lol. How the rear doors open makes it easy to get my daughter in and out. We lost a lot of trunk space but we both love the car so she said she'd be willing to pack lighter when we go home.
We both felt old and i'm 22 and she's 20. Yet we felt like an old married couple, lmao. As long as its not affecting my daughter, any which its not, then no harm done. Only thing its going to hurt is us being a little more difficult on trips. Thats something were both willling to live with though. When a lot of room really becomes an issue it'll be a few years down the road and maybe we could pick up a cheaper SUV or something to the effect of a vibe or something. For now, screw it only young once =P
Yea, if you look closesly you can actually see the car seat in the back of the RX-8, lol.
lol i can see it!!! have fun with it man im sure u guys will..
also i see that rx7 there, hows that project going?

The project has been on hold. I got the car and the keys but he just got back from a deployment so lot of stuff in storage. I was waiting to get the title before I did anything. He's a pretty good friend but money can make people do stupid things. I didn't want to put a new tranny in it and then have him change his mine and legally it was still be his car.
Plus I was doing work on the camaro so I didn't want to lose my garage just yet. On top of all that I still haven't decided if I should just through a tranny in it and sell it, keep it, or wait until tax time and do a complete Turbo II swap on it.
Nice! I love the RX-8s. Looks sweet.
Sweet ride!
