Just as the title says. Porsche is comming out with a sedan. Its expected to hit the showrooms in Sept. '08.
Three engines are suposed to be available:
3.5L 300hp V6 Supplied by V'Dub
4.5L 350hp V8. Their own design
4.5L 560hp V8 Turbo. Which may come from the Cayene
And rumors of the Carrera GT's 5.7L 612hp V10 in the protype, although it is just a rumor.
Also, a rumor. An electric V6 w/ a 60kw electric motor.
6 speed manual is standard, while the 6 speed automatic is optional and possibly a double-clutch 7 speed gearbox which MIGHT be sourced from Audi.
It looks pretty cool if you ask me.

immm not really feelin it
I also forgot to add, that these are spy photos. It does need some spoiler work, lol. But, I will trust that porsche will make their body lines flow, like they normally do

That's like seeing hummer make an economy car.
if its a porsche I can garuntee the finished project will look great. Porsche doesn't make ugly cars.

That is why I think they are putting insane amounts of hp on their engines. Especially the turbo'd V8 ... and possible the V10. So, they still are crazy, lol

BOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
they shouldn't have made the cayenne either
Meh.. it's diluting the Porsche brand even more than the Cayenne. This is the wrong way for Porsche to go, 2 door, mid-engined sport coupe, and the Targa, and a roadster... what is so wrong with that equation?
Am I the only one that is really bothered by the fact that over 80% of Cayenne drivers are 35-50, mothers of 2.4 kids that use a $110,000 Sport-utility vehicle like it's a $35,000 minivan?
Seriously, how often to they take those vehicles off-road, where it was ostensibly made to go?
I'm not gonna rant anymore... I'm going to get too pissed off.

And now for something completely different... Click the Minister.
Two thumbs down for Porshe. They're heading in the wrong direction and the Cayenne started it.

To me Porche was dead when the air-cooled 911 gone in 1998. It was burried when the Cayenne went into the line up and is now frying in hell with the Panamera.

Air cooled was great if you didn't have to worry about smog... I can deal with a non-aircooled boxer, I cannot deal with yuppies driving them like they're sedans.

funny thing is they are still around , the term for a 4door ferrari is maserati
not digging the carrera sedan but , its porsche it will sell
good point about the Cayenne, Gam. But there are others, as you stated its 80% of them driven by middle aged women treating them as if they are a mini van.... i also know a chiropracter(sp?) who owns a Cayenne turbo, doesnt take it off road but drives the hell out of it, when he isnt on his harley, or driving his M3, or his CLK500 he just gave to his daughter... wow... i just remembered how much i hate that guy lol
On the other hand....you have other fingers.

I just bought a 20 inch widescreen ultrasharp flat pannel..I'm going to have to subscribe to the high quality porn places now......damn
dude...why take a cayenne off road? its not intended for off road use...it's designed for SUV versatility...yet it still has the power, and handling to make it fun on a track...now...as fun as a 911...dur of course not....but can a 911 haul the kids and groceries? The Cayenne sells....a lot lol. Good business move for porsche IMO...if it sells why not exploit it? It's like saying no, we'd rather not sell a super profit vehicle and be successful....dur?
and for that matter....why criticize porche owners for not taking their SUV off road...seriously...how many people take ANY SUV off road...probably not even 5% so why sell to the 5% when you can sell to the other 95%?
