Well the cav has pissed me off for the last time on Sunday, so its time for a new car. I'm keepin the cav tho just droppin the insurance on it and building it for my auto-x car.
Anyway i'm lookin at either an 07 Scion tC or an 06 Tiburon GT
the price difference is only about $20/mo in favor of the tC and insurance is about $50 in favor of the tC.
I'm just lookin for opinions on both cars. Are they good, quick, reliable?
Be harsh, i dont want to be unhappy 3 months after i get the car.
get the scion, sell the cav and use the money to put Hotchkis swaybars, Teins superstreets (with honda prelude spec springs, you don't want the springs they made for the TC) and you've go the winningist combination for a Scion doing autox. Some tires and wheels would help too.
You will love the scion, gets some nice lightweight rims an an autox alignment and you'll wonder why you ever drove the cav.
Autox Alignments specs for scion:
Front Caster Left 4 7/16 degrees
Front Caster Right 3 21/32 degrees (staggered caster counteracts torque steer)
Front Camber Left -2 1/2 degrees
Front Camber Right -2 17/32 degrees
Front Toe Left 1/32"
Front Toe Right 1/32"
Front Total Toe 1/16"
Rear Camber Left -2 25/32 degrees
Rear Camber Right -2 5/8 degrees
Rear Toe Left 1/32"
Rear Toe Right 1/32"
Rear Total Toe 1/16"
Tein Superstreets with prelude spring rates.
Hotchkis front and rear swaybars.
Lightweight rims with RT-615's and you can own STS
Thats the winning TC setup if you want to run STS or STX.

yea this is a result of the wind
first the hood went over the hinges, then later after you guys left the door took out the fender
call the insurance company today and waiting on a reply to see what they gonna do
i love my tib, but i'd buy hte TC if i was buying new. i got a fantastic deal on my 03 tib and i really wanted one so i jumped on it. If i was dumping the money in a new one, i'd go for the scion. aftermarket is way better and its a nice toyota motor.. never complaints there...but if you get the tib.. newtiburon.com we need members that post often there. i joined not too long ago and its not as busy as JBO is for sure.
7 months without a date and counting
